Note: In accordance with the Maryland State Board of Nursing requirements, this course option is officially recognized because it includes the mandatory in-person skills session conducted under the supervision of a licensed instructor.
What is the difference between a Classroom training and Renewal (blended learning)?
Classroom Training
With the Traditional Learning option, all instruction takes place during your scheduled classroom session. There is no required coursework before class. You simply attend your session, where both lecture and hands-on skills are taught by the instructor.
Blended Learning (Renewal)
The Blended Learning option combines online study with an in-person skills session. Before attending class, you must complete the online portion of the training at your own pace, from home, using the link provided after enrollment. You can start and stop as needed until the coursework is finished.
Your scheduled in-person session is then dedicated entirely to practicing hands-on skills, asking questions, and demonstrating proficiency. This session typically lasts 30–45 minutes. After completing both the online training and the in-person skills session, you will receive a digital certification card valid for two years.
